As I sit here on this Cyber Monday followed by Black Friday, it’s hard not to think about gifts. What does everyone want for Christmas and how can I get the best deal possible?
Within minutes of reflection on gifts, I am reminded of the ultimate gift given to all of humanity – JESUS! As we prepare to celebrate his birthday in just a few short weeks, I am humbled and grateful for the calling God has placed on our family to go and share the ultimate gift of Jesus with those in New York City. As we prepare to move in just a few short months, I am humbled and grateful, yet again, for the gifts of love, prayer, support, and encouragement we have received from so many people. God is so good to put people in our lives who are excited for us and want to help with the church plant however they can. How can we be anything but thankful? Our family, like many, used last month to reflect on Thanksgiving and all the things we are to be thankful for. How can we ever express our thanks to our great God and our thanks to so many of you as you have provided what we have needed during this time of change? Behind the simple words, “Thank You” are deep and heartfelt feelings of gratitude and praise. Our cup is overflowing and we are blessed!
"Every good gift and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." James 1:17
